Well done, Randall. I, too, enjoyed Clear and Present Danger, along with the novels of Vince Flynn (RIP) featuring Mitch Rapp.
Many thanks, Jack!

Terrific article, Randall. I just read it in full, and found it detailed and authoritative. This should be an aide memoire for anyone looking to write a black ops novel for the first time. One of my favourite black ops book was Clear and Present Danger by Tom Clancy - a real classic.
All the best.
Ian
Hi Ian,
Many thanks for your kind words. I'm working on a follow-up article about realism in fiction. This was briefly mentioned in my first article, but I've received the go-ahead to do this one.
Completed an inline review of Alkemi's The Souring Seas, chapter 33.

This is the kind of site I've been searching for. All the sites I used to belong to were mostly for 13 year olds. It was hard to find something geared to "big people". I've already learned a lot from many of the writers on here. I'm an old school writer and the things that applied when I first started writing (100 years ago) don't seem to apply anymore. It's hard to break the habit, but the great writers on here have a lot of patience. I'm very grateful for all the help. KLWelcome aboard, KL! I see you have a couple of WIPs posted. Which one would you like reviewed first? Regards, Randall
Thank you Randall! You can pick anyone you want, I'm not particular, just don't break my heart too much! KL
LOL! I'll get started soon.:)
I agree with Bill and Jack's suggestions--it's what I'd do.

Wow, Congrats, Randy!
Many thanks, CJ!
Hi everyone,
I'll try to get caught up with my reviews ASAP. With the release/promotion of Mission: Angola, I've been tied up. Something else also popped up for me to take care of. A couple of days after its release, I was contacted by the editior-in-chief of the web daily, Mystery & Suspense Magazine to do a feature article on Black Ops in Fiction. The article has been approved and will appear on their website on March 10th. Back to reviews!
Regards, Randy
Many thanks for your kind words, Alan!
Many thanks, Bobbie!
I had a similar offer on my first manuscript from three different editors looking to pull me in. After reviewing their suggestions, it was clear they weren't any better than the folks of TNBW (and not as friendly!).
Many thanks, John!
Many thanks, Dae!
Hi everyone,
I'm pleased to announce the release of Mission: Angola (Xavier Sear Thriller Book 1) by Solstice Publishing. The Kindle version is now available and the paperback will be coming in a day or so.
Many thanks to all who help to make this a reality.

Will go through as many as I can, Jack.
Happy Holidays everyone to you and yours! Best regards, Randall
Welcome back, Kevin!
Welcome aboard! TNBW is a great place to be!
Having the same trouble, too.
