Hi, this message appeared because we needed to update the certificate on our server. There was no hacking attempt or security breach. We have fixed it and all should be fine now.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sol

Hi, I changed a setting and that worked. I was able to enter my test. Go ahead and try again. It should work but let me know if you experience any problems.

Thanks,
Sol

Hmm. I'll check it out.

Hi Bobbie,

Yes, it can be reviewed before or during the contest. You can edit the piece up until the deadline.

Good discussion. I do think a contest is in order. It's good for members of the site who like participating and also does tend to bring in newer members.

I'm sorry to hear this. She was a great member who contributed much to the site. Maybe there is a way to memorialize her on the site? I'll have to  think about this.

Hi Nathan,

The issue is that you uploaded more chapters than you have points to post. So, it's blocking you from posting. Delete 3-4 of the chapters you have uploaded and then you will have no problem publishing what remains to the points group. As you build up points, you can upload and publish additional chapters.

Sol

Hi Nathan,

You should be able to post. I'll investigate why you haven't been able to.

Sol

Will look into it. Thanks.

Trial members have full access. If he they can't access it, it's a technical problem. I'll check it out.

Sending prayers and good thoughts your way.

Yes, we need to look into this. Something looks wrong.

Congratulations!

Hi all,

We rebuilt the published shelf over the past two weeks. The process now removes Amazon's code from the mix so that we don't need to rely upon it anymore. I think you'll find some advantages and dis-advantages. First, the cons. You must now enter some additional information in order to get your book to show on your shelf. This includes adding the url to the page where the book is sold on Amazon, or B&N, or your own site. You also need to upload a photo cover and add a blurb.

The Pros include:

- Once you add a book to your shelf, it automatically appears in the bookstore.
- You can link to books sold on other sites besides Amazon.
- You can put in a 60 word blurb to accompany the book.

This new code gives us more flexibilty. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you'll start adding your published books soon. Let me know if you have any questions.

Sol

You can actually link to your books in your profile but it requires a little knowledge of html. You have to click the Source button on the editor, find the section of the page where you want to add the link, and then put in this code:

<a href="https://www.amazon.com/wharever the url is">The Name of Your Book</a>

We're working on some alternate solutions.

Thanks. It can't hurt.

Yes, Amazon changed their protocol. For now, you may want to link to any books you have published via your profile. It's unclear if Amazon is going to allow us to show the bookshelf anymore. We're looking into some alternatives.
