Do you want a review of Dirtier than Dirt?
Oh, and who is demanding more details of a r*pe scene? They aren't going to be published, so ignore them.

No opinion. Sorry. You write and I'll have an opinion, I suppose. Cause I can't keep my mouth shut no-how, no-way. It's all in the telling. If you want MG, then no body parts. Center the combat on a single POV and have the POV not see the body parts...
Burns leak a lot of fluid after the fact. In big burns, there is usually no bleeding because the nearby vessels have been coagulated. Same reason that a well-done fried steak doesn't bleed. I think that you are talking about an evaporative beam that aerosolizes the tissue. That might cause bleeding because the nearby attachment of a vein or artery would just be gone. If it burns the tissue away, the tissue would conduct the heat and the nearby vessels would be burnt and no bleeding.
The fluid loss afterwards is serous drainage (imagine a sunburn and the wet-red look to the burns) that leaks out of skin when the upper barrier is gone. Burn victims can need massive hydration to stay alive. As much volume as they have blood in them, in fact (like 10 liters a day). But that is a post burn complication.
I'll see if I can get you a drawing
Was thinking about watching it as well. So many great actors and so very Gilliam. It's showing on one of the side-band channels of regular TV, so I don't have to dig out the DVD. If not, then I'll delve in and try to find the thing.
Your dad watches Gilliam? OK, he's cool in my book. Tell him I said so :-)
TTaCAotIAotDaSCHL is a cute little story. I like the idea of using it for a website or free material to promo your book. I've got a bunch of throwaway stories that I plan on using for the same purpose. Like when Airen killed the giant. And a couple extra stories about Kha that didn't find a place in the books.
I will get rid of bootie. Fine. Just fine :-)
And why can't I frigging sleep right now? I haven't been on nigh shift for over two months. You would think that I could flip to days easier than this.
Then a CT scan and then maybe more chemo vs discussion of surgery. Dealers choice.
Look up the definition for paresthesia. Severed nerves send partial signals to the brain and are perceived as pain. The pain you describe would be growing the nerves from proximal (by the wound) to distial (to the fingers). The pain would be excruciating as the nerves grew because they would be signaling the brain the whole time.
Nausea is worst on the first night after chemo. Then I go in for hydration and another dosing of anti-nausea meds on Day 1 after chemo and I'm just nauseous rather than befriending my toilet. Today is day 2 after Chemo, I got the pump out of me, I have one more day of oral steroids (which keep me awake but give me energy) and I ate a piece of cheesecake. The next week or so, I have a candy land of meds that I can take to push off the nausea and keep my weight up. Then I'm pretty good for the last week. One more round of chemo starting a week from Monday.
No wonder she's been busy.
I'm working on it, believe it or not. Poison pouring into my veins and my fingers getting all twitchy. Write write write!
Janet are you out there? We're missing you! (Namely, I'm missing you!)
My freezer is full and I will tip the earth to the left. Challenge accepted
Growllllll
Will look. Just gotta find some energy...
I don't see any benefit for Spirit of Wind. It reminds me too much of Star Trek Voyager with the Indian second in command with the tattoo. Like you said, he is faceless and the backstory serves no purpose in the overall plot.
Don't know how I managed it but I posted again. Off we go into healing Slash, with a bit more Alda thoughts and impressions added to the mix.
How is everybody doing? Dirk is doing a fabulous job on Galaxy Tales and it is worth a gander to see his improvement. Just saying. He's like full of awesome sauce!
The trick is not shopworn. It is a classic bait and switch dut done in space. Clues were good.
The 'forget I'm blind but only tell blind guy after the fact what people look like? He should be letting the boss know as
Much as possible before encountering the people. Like the room description and dimensions maybe?
I didnt get that the blue
Max was a German decoration, so I didn't get the joke.
OK, I managed to post another chapter.
Battered but weary, I'm still back. Here is an update on the cancer front.
Chemo #1 is over with. Day 13 and 14 are definitely easier as the medication effects wear off. I'm maintaining my weight, which is predictable because I've always been able to eat past common sense, so what is different about this, anyway? Chemo #2 starts Monday, with a pump that I wear for 48 hours afterwards. I'm like an old pro at this (not) but at least I have one experience under my belt so I'll be able to predict (somewhat) what my next three experiences will be like.
I still have my hair. Not for long, but I'm getting ready to whack it off and start wearing a pussy hat (google it for educational purposes)
Today was a good day. Went to a local waterpark and then took my sister, nephew, and best friend to dinner afterwards. Then of course, my 6 year old exhausts himself and starts running a fever, but whatever. It was still a good day.
At work, my absence is being noticed and I've never felt more appreciated. Six weeks into this mess, and we're still getting dinners cooked for us. Should anyone care to come over, I have at least two months worth of leftovers in my freezer.
An open invitation is available to youz all. Should you care to appear, July 3rd is my children's 'fake birthday with fireworks' party and you would be welcome to indulge in a random act of whimsy by driving my direction and appearing. I promise to feed you until you pop and ply you with lotsa ETOH. Regardless of the chemo schedule, I promise to be fit and energetic for at least 12 hours on that day. It usually starts around 12 pm and runs until the fireworks end at 1030.
Either way, I managed to post a chapter. Lets see if I can get another one up before Monday.

Waiting impatiently...
You forgot about my vaccine? Twagedie...
Oh, and what feels right to them. They pick a deity that represents their feelings and do rituals to Thor. Or Aphrodite. You can worship your left sock if the urge hits you.
These planets made up a religion (because the worship of roman gods isn't active now and therefore had no history of an active religion). They made up a roman form of dress based on historical records. In my mind, this is similar to historical recreation with a 5-800 year worth of new traditions. They are no more related to the Windsors (who would have surely vaccinated) than they are a goat. Pick any linking name you like for the family. Like a lot of others before them, they are royals who have made up their bloodline.
All that matters is that they can trace their lineage to the crazy preacher.
Not trying to be grumpy. Really. But I've had numerable discussions with Druids who base their rituals and pomp on a book written in 1970 by Starhawk.
You can't mislead the reader in a blurb. You don't have to say that the twins are royalty, but you can't indicate the royal family is gone and then bring them back. It's a continuity thing.
I'm more Canadian than you, right now.
Now that is really funny.
