I disagree. Rebecca is so immersed in the actual facts of this time period. This part feels real to me. The Queen's speech isn't stilted. The 'slaze' makes sense and is in context with Drech's story. I like it a lot.
Only sentence I had a problem with was, "Worse, his mother before a slaze."
She is talking about herself, isn't she? I would clarify this. Otherwise, this reads as if she is speaking of a different person.

I LOVE the wording and relay of the accent above! Very clear, easy to read, and gets the different language across beautifully. Do it!
PS. And it doesn't sound like Yoda! Perfect.

Work is still the same. In 3 months, I don't know what my job will be, where I will be working, what my pay rate will be, or who I will be working with. In other words, I'm rather unsettled right now.
You and Dirk had better meet on one of these trips! Drink a glass for me!

I personally like HIBGIA (had it before, got it again), and ART (assuming room temperature)
And to answer the question, CCFCCP does quite nicely. What it would be in German? Haven't a clue.

Wouldn't keep it from grabbing a leg and trying to drag it back into the den. That would protect the den from the other dragon…it has to get past the sister's leg in order to make an attack. Not everything is dangerous, but to an infant, the attack could be deadly. It locks the sibling in place and keeps him/her from water. That would be enough to kill an infant dragon.
Besides, as I remember, these caves were desolate and didn't have a lot of support for a successful ecosystem. What does the snake eat when it isn't trying to swallow a dragon? If it is a water snake, then there should be fish, small rodents, etc. Otherwise, it wouldn't be hunting in this cave. Yet the twins haven't found a single meal.

I find it hard. Maybe because the other words have normal grammar and order. It doesn't read like Mark Twain writing Huck Finn. If there was a word/verb switch or hyphenations, this might be easier

Yes, ma'am.
However, I just realized that I can't publish until we get to hang out. Only after I get my bottle of wine will I consider taking the plunge and talking to a publisher. (How did I manage to put that back on you? I'm brilliant! :-)
