I also think he's checking in every 72 hrs, deleting his posts and then commenting on whatever suits his fancy. He's like the three-day flu. Keeps cycling back and infecting whoever is nearby. At this rate, I have about 24* to delete this post...

I blocked the Internet by making our site private, but I was told to open it up again and that K had satisfied his need for privacy by deleting his posts and separating names.

I can go back to ptrivate settings if asked. It blocked specific posts by requiring a password but still found the site. K's Xtra paranoid precautions keep anyone from searching out his storyline. However, I wouldn't depend on his comments being accessible for long. Record them if you want to keep the specifics.

Janet, in the areas where I just said, 'delete', I usually just mean this is an area where you can thin for tighter prose. In other words, the sentence says much the same thing without overlap/redundancy.

If there were feuds and more feuds, then the faire should have more in-fighting present during the actual competition. Everybody but the bad guy is very civilized in your world. If that isn't the case, then add in some personality conflicts.

Not 100%, but a feeling a lot better. Sleeping 44/48 hours helped a lot. Poor me. Time to take another nap...

I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth, but it feels like it. I'm missing out on the 'Trials and Tribulations of Being Merran', as well as "Matt and Cathy boink."  I'm hoping to catch up on "Ghost or God: Talking To Ones Self When No One Else Is Listening in Modern Rome," as well as "Dragons Are Cool so Shut Up and Read!"

K's contribution will be, "I Write Books For The Sole Purpose Of Getting My Characters' Children Into The Storyline," followed by, "Oops, I Forgot Those Powers Could Do That But I Published So It Has To Be True."

In all fairness, somewhere in here, I need to write more of my "Never Ending Story and The Endless Crypt Meets Flowing Gillis Juice." Sigh. I've got red on my ledger. Time to make some black marks.

I accepted the connection. Is this going to be a problem?

I'm getting to your side of the thread. But I'm back to the coal mines and working a bunch. Today, though...it may be a pajama day. I may get some time to bond with my computer.

I can't wait to see you some day!

That's OK. I just went over to his apartment and spit on his door handle. We're even.

Janet, don't let our idea derail NS. Keep writing since you are in the home stretch.

That was K giving me crap about the name 'Gillis' because I use it in a singular sense, as a pleural and as a counting unit.  (Although M as a gladiator is a hoot to think about).  I tried to come up with a similar-use noun in comparison. Gladiator was one attempt.

So either I need to count them as a single unit (a gillis), or multiple (gillises/ gilli/ Gillis/ cluster of gillis) or like a murder of crows, flock of sheep, quarum of dwarves...maybe a 'pouring' of Gillis?

Just for fun...

Caught the link. Thanks.

I'm better but still limping until I can shake this flu. Don't catch it. Just don't.

Janet,

I would love to see C and M in different places and times…living out a variety of situations where the clues come together to solve the mystery. Maybe something that the reader is given to understand but the characters never see because they are too immersed in the action.

It would be a great way to keep these characters that you love active and part of your storyline. And it gives their love a timelessness that could really appeal.

Will check it out. I must have caught the crud that is being passed around. What a waste of three days.

In return, maybe you can consider writing some Fantasy. Maybe a ghost mystery placed in the same time period as NS?

I had a patient drink her own pee last week. I couldn't make this stuff up. Gotta love head injuries.

May the books fly off the shelves. Congrats and pat yourself on the back!

Janet,

Chapter 15 and chapter 20. If you have time, I'll owe you!
