For the astute observers among us ...

You would have noticed I just put out a short story (this was part of a prompt from another writer's group). For the less astute observers, I've just put out a short story that is part of a prompt from another writer's group!

My first ever short story. Took me most of today to get my ducks in a row and write/edit the thing. I'm pretty happy with the end result (ecstatic actually), but it might need more work to make sure people don't ship Isabelle and Richard. For the astute observers, Isabelle is Matthew's mother and can't marry Sir Richard, captain of the guard if Matthew is to be the Earl of Norwood.

This is just the start of their story. Another short story will continue the meet, fall in love and making babies bit. Not sure when that's going to happen. Still have NS to do, right!

I'd appreciate thoughts and comments for those that need points and have a bit of extra spare time!
