No review is a waste of time. If the author is posting it for feedback, then they still need eyes on it.

As to adjusting STATUS--once you are viewing the project in question, the "BASIC INFO" section of publishing is where you will find Status. Click into it to get the drop down menu to choose which status to apply.

Never mind --it showed up about 15 minutes later. It didn't the first time however.

It can sometimes take 15 minutes for something to appear on the homepage. If you check the Read - Groups page that shows the content much faster. It will show  up there first, so you can check there, and then after a few minutes it will appear on the homepage.

I did that before coming here to leave a bug message. It hadn't shown up on that list either.

Hey Tom

Each genre has guidelines regarding suggested optimum chapter length but you really can't go wrong with almost any genre if you aim for around 2-2500k words per chapter.

Hello

I'm Linda Lee and though I like and enjoy some of the functions of this new site--I miss the ease of our old home.

Jack, I've created a group to (hopefully) make communicating in the old fashion a bit easier. Take a peek at the OLD FORUMS GROUP

Hey all

Since Sol doesn't seen to want to organize these forums into categories (so our posts are easier to keep track of) I've created a group with a forum similarly styled to do just that. The forum will be categorized similarly to our OLD FORUMS.

Please take a sec and look up the group from the group list--and join!  If you'd like me to add a sticky category, just give me a shout there. Thanks!!

Edited to add:

One of the things I've been noticing is everyone is creating a myriad of groups to take up the function of what our old forums delivered on the old site. The idea is to create a SINGLE group with forums that will provide us with a central meeting spot that's categorized...therefore hopefully negating the need for joining so many damn groups. We can then save creating/joining groups for newer more specific things.

I'm going to delete this group because I created it before I understood the point system. Will be adding a SWAP sticky to my new group so we can message each other about swaps without the whole group mentality thing getting in the way.

I hope the changes to the homepage will mean that I can finally see it. I STILL can't see any homepage content whatsoever. I've done all the cache stuff, checked everything I can think of ...and it doesn't populate.

It was set for the widest exposure because I have a group of friends coming in to beta read it. I also checked free and premium.

Another fantastic service, which I've been using for many years on the music side of things, is Book Baby. They offer all sorts of publishing packages and distribution. Their distributions channels have been wonderful on the music side, I expect no less on the writing side. Here's the link to check them out...

edited to add: they also offer printing services/packages.
