Hi, I'm a new member of the site. I write mainly erotica and have started an Erotica group. If you are interested in trading reviews for erotica, then join the group and let's do it. I generally don't post my material to non-erotica groups because some people object. I will see about posting my non-erotic material on some of the general sites I've noticed. Bye! Cecilia.

I can't read the in line reviews without paying for premium, but then... it won't allow me an option to pay for premium.
If I can't access reviews during the "trial" period, it's not going to be much of a trial period.
If I can't just go ahead and pay to see reviews either, well...

This is exactly what I predicted when we had this out six months ago. Try going to the drop-down menu under your name and select "billing." This should give you options for upgrade. JP
JP, the option to upgrade when the trial is up. My renewal was supposed to be 6/3. Sol said I have another month, so we'll see if I can upgrade Friday.
how can friends and family link to my stories? or is this only for people that are on the site?
Heather, my friend is a member here just in the free and doesn't post a thing, but can read & review. I'm not sure if it's still the same since he joined. Others will let you know.

Heather, only people who are registered can read the content. I believe there is still a free period of time. I had a couple of friends who joined free last year so they could read my novel, but they never upgraded as far as I know. There used to be a 'read only' membership. You could message Sol and find out.

What a great idea, MzP. I would love to have my friends be able to read my stories, but they keep getting asked to create an account. The free account only last a short while. I think that a totally free 'read only' account would be wonderful. My friends would probably email me or tell me what they think of the story rather than try a full-blown review anyway.

When people sign up, they get 7 days of Premium Membeship. After that period, they can choose to remain a Premium member and pay the fee, or downgrade to a free Basic membership. As a basic member, they can read and even post to non-points groups. You can see the difference here:

See above comment. There is also something else you can do. You can send an email to anyone you want to read your content and even if it is set for registered only readers, the email recipient will be able to access it. You can do this from your portfolio page using the Action button.
The other thing you can do is change the setting on the Publish Settings page so the content is available on the Internet also. If you do this, your friends and anyone else will be able to read it without having to even login.
I think I'm going to include these tips in the weekly email update that goes out today.

I was under the impression from the homepage that 7.5 points would be enough to post to NewWriterPremium group, but I'm getting 12.44 is required...is that correct? If so no worries, just wanted to make sure I wasn't messing up.
As far as I understand it, the amount of content you are trying to post determines how many points it costs. If you are putting up short poems, for instance, you could probably post multiple with 7.5 points, but if you have a very long chapter or story (say, 2,000+ words) it would probably cost more than that.
I'm not sure on the exact ratio.

Aha! Found the explanation of the points ratio.
"We do not publish the points formulas but you can find out how much a piece of content will cost by uploading it to the site. In general though, it costs about 4 points for every 1,000 words of a novel or short story. It costs 2 points for every 100 words of a poem."

Elisheva, yes and no. Yes, in regards to length of chapters. Longer ones take more points, but longer ones are 5000+ words. 2000 is average. Actually, poems take a good number of points to post b/c, as I was told, reviewers have to work harder to understand poetry.
Ah, ok. I was going by my own ratios. My chapters average around 1,500 words, so anything over 2,000 seems long to me.
