Re: Welcome

Hi there! Just joined. I am a poet, essayist, pro blogger and digital marketer. The first two I do for love, the second two for money, lol. Back when I first got on the internet, I think it was 2004, I was a  member of Writer's Net, not sure if any of your remember the site, but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot too. I have not belonged to a writing community since and I started realizing when I began to get serious about my creative writing again after a long hiatus, how much I miss the company of other writers. So thanks for having me.

Re: Welcome

Welcome Denise. It's a great site. You'll find a lot of support here. Don't hesitate to ask questions in this forum.

Re: Welcome

Thanks, Dirk. I just reviewed somebody's poem. I like this site already.

Re: Welcome

Welcome to TNBW, Denise! Plenty of helpful people. I'm sure you'll enjoy being here.

Re: Welcome

I've only been here a few months and people began critiquing my work which is so useful. It's not just ideas but style and art. Writing is becoming a hobby for me. This is great. Welcome aboard.

Re: Welcome

Hey! Everyone!!
I am Rcee, a budding and enthusisased writer, I look forward to a great deal of review and critique exchanges on the forum and wish to establish a lot of friendly and mentoring relationships with the fellow writers! Pls feel free to connect!!

Re: Welcome

Welcome Denise and Rcee. Pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable.

If you're serious about your writing, you've come to the right place. Enjoy!

Re: Welcome

Welcome, Rcee. I noticed your book is posted to a group with a limited number of members. If you want to maximize the number of reviews you get, I strongly suggest posting to Premium as well. It requires points to post, but you can earn those by reviewing other members. Reviewing also pays dividends by allowing you to compare your writing to that of others. When you post with points, your reviewers will earn points when they review your work, which is what makes the site tick.

Re: Welcome

Welcome aboard Rcee. Definitely join the Premium group. I've received really good input for stories. And I've had fun reading stories, too. Writing is so pleasurable.

Hi everyone

Re: Welcome

Are you a new comer?

Re: Welcome

Hello all. I just joined the site and I am starting to learn things. Do share if you have advice for newbies.

Re: Welcome

Advice for newbies: Find a group or a few covering work you're comfortable in.  Make sure it has some activity.  Do reviews, reply to reviews, form reciprocal review partnerships.

Personal question, if I may:  How do you pronounce your first name?  Two syllables or three?

Re: Welcome

Welcome, Vaibhav Tripathi! TNBW is a great place to be. Fully agree with njc's advice.

Regards, Randall

Re: Welcome

Welcome, Vaibhav. I recommend that one of the groups you publish to be Premium. It requires points to publish to Premium but also pays points to those who review your work, generating the most reviews for you. It's also the most active group, which further increases the likelihood of more reviews. Points and reciprocal reviews are what make the site tick.

Re: Welcome

Rubina-
Welcome to the site. The best way to get reviewed is to read and review others.

Thank you! This format is totally new to me. In the old days, if someone posted a reply to you or something, you’d get a notification via email. I had no idea you had said hello until I poked my head in  smile

Welcome back, Bisi.

At the top of each page in the blue header at the right is a "subscribe" button. If you post, you are not automatically added to the email list. You have to click the subscribe button to get them.

This is for the Forum only. The old methods still work. If someone posts anything and you are connected to them, you will get an email. If you get a Quickie, same.
