I guess, if I have to choose an absolute fave, it is The Princess Bride. I just LOVE that movie. So much that I now have the theme song performed at Lydia and Darren's wedding.

The reception followed at Amile's. Dupree sang "Storybook Love" as pictures of the bride and groom from the time they were children until their engagement photo flashed alternately on screens. Guests watched Lydia with Raif letting her stand on his feet as they danced, Darren with his first basketball, Lydia painting a ballerina on the screen of the bedroom Raif had designed for his three new baby girls, Darren with his arm in a cast, Lydia in her first tutu, Darren taking a three-point shot, Lydia in a princess costume for Halloween, Darren dressed as a knight during the Crusades, Lydia and Darren at prom, and on and on.
Darren held his hand out to his bride. "Time for our first dance, Mrs. McAlpin."
Lydia moved smoothly across the floor in Darren's arms. "I'll never let you fall," Darren whispered to the girl he had loved as long as he could remember. Darren passed Lydia to Raif and turned to dance with Neely.
Derrick tapped Raif's shoulder after a couple of turns around the floor. "She's my daughter, too, now." He held his arms out to finish the dance. "Just across the floor. You can do it." Lydia nodded and finished the waltz as Derrick passed her back to Darren.

I love being able to do the inline reviews. I just wish the text box for comments would appear on the side rather than over the piece I'm reading.

Welcome DD. Sounds like you need to market the book as romantic suspense. That's my main genre.

Stick around, Jill. Reading humor helps me loosen up. I love Ann Everett. She writes with lots of humor. Review her and you'll see what I mean.

I just want the box to the side, not matter where the cursor is. The text box appears over the text, and sometimes I need to type out the whole sentence again or read the next sentence to finish my comments.

Is there any way to move the box for the inline review? Maybe to the side in the blank gray area. It's so annoying being over the text.

Hey,

If I'm reading your work, don't take it down! I will need to be off here soon for a week or so in order to do final edits to Broken and get it off to print. I promise I'll be back asap to finish up reading your works.

Points:

After four and a half years, I still don't know how the points to post/review are calculated. I'd like to see the formula.

Sometimes I have a chapter that require 13+ points to post, so I read and read and read at one and a half points per chapter to get enough points to post. There are a handful of people on here who only read and review and NEVER post. They collect points. I've had a couple ask about a system where a reviewer could give points to an author who might need to get the chapters up fast Any chance of creating as system that allows transfer of points? It's just a thought.

I have my set-up for premium and a couple of other groups that don't use points. I can't see triple points for posting.

I hate to say this, but a lot of "new" members aren't getting the attention because they don't give attention. The Free Group doesn't require that they read to post, so they don't. I have 2 new folks that I've read and have marked to continue to read. JP, I didn't realize you were so new.

Posting your chapters in free has proven useless to me, Dirk. I've found nobody who doesn't post using points also never recips reads/reviews. I have to use points to post, so I have started not reading the freebies.

I went KDP Select with my first two books and I am about to take them off so I can do Nook and others. I chose that option originally b/c of the high royalty. Not sure it's worth not having the other avenues.

Pamela, I have 3 full literary novels on here, but I am not ready to start their rewrites as I'm focusing on my Raiford Chronicles series at the moment. If you like to take a look, I appreciate all comment, and yours would be welcome when I get to the edits.

Gator Aid
Mountain Moonshine
For Richter or Poorer

This are three of the four in my Hillbilly Hijinx saga. They take a look at poverty and ignorance. The four books comprise a series about four boys who finally put their small, cloistered town or Possum Holler, WV, on the map.

I classify them a literary b/c of the circumstances of the characters. I wrote them after I saw a documentary filmed in 1999, but I saw it a few years after that, about these actual conditions still being in place in Appalachia. Then just a couple years ago, I saw a documentary about the Mississippi Delta with much the same conditions. I'm from Mississippi, and I was appalled that in the midst of affluence there are pockets of such need. As an educator I witnessed some of these conditions first hand. Pushing education and literacy is my mission. I hope this series will emphasize the need for all children to receive an education.

If there is a piece you'd like me to read, let me know.

Just a thought I'm throwing out here. I haven't blocked anyone from reading my material. Hey, you can't please everyone. Somebody is going to not like your writing. However, giving feedback and critique doesn't need to be cruel or destructive. I've had my feelings hurt more than once, and not just on this site. I just think it's a little sad that people feel they need to block someone from reading their stuff. Just a thought here. If I've ever hurt your feelings, I apologize.
