Dae D. Sheilds is a life-long lover of storytelling, from the literary novel all the way down to the lowly comic book. From Harper Lee, to Faulkner, to Stan Lee, he’s all over it. He’s also a bartender in a nerd-punk-hipster bar in Seattle and the husband of a double-black belt Alaskan. The first book he read beyond Dr. Seuss was probably Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret, by Judy Blume. Dae’s been in bands, sneaked into the Cannes Film Festival, worked rehabilitating blind people, and was once paid to write hundreds of new music reviews for a national chain store without being furnished the music.
He just had to make it all up.
Dae has published stories in Pleiades, Other Voices and New York Stories, as well as other publications.
