Topic: Cataract Surgery
Tomorrow morning, early, I'm due at the hospital for cataract surgery. Not too worried, but it will interfere somewhat with reviewing and writing/editing my own stuff. Supposed to be an easy thing, but one never knows.

Enjoy the time off, Bill. We'll be waiting for your return. JP
A puzzling reference, Temple. Any particular reason you sent the link? I don't consider what I offered as "overinformation" or even TMI.

I know it. That’s why I posted it. Best of luck with your surgery.

Easy peasy.

Wit is something you can't overshare; well, at least imho. Take care. Vern

Amen, brother ...
Hope all goes well, Bill. You'll be as good as new with one good eye by the following day. They'll probably do the other one in a couple of weeks. At least that's how they do it around here. Hurry back. We will miss you!
Cheers,
MJ
Thinking about you, Bill. Fingers crossed everything goes well. ~Ann
My thanks to everyone. I inderstand what you meant now, Temple. Sometimes it takes a 2x4 to get my attention. And, yes, my left eye is scheduled for two weeks from now. Basically, I'll be out of service for the month.
Bill
Good luck, Bill. I had both eyes done last summer (three weeks apart). Was driving the day after the first one and back on the computer. Hope you're ops are a success!
Prayers for fast recovery. Like Randall, my dad was behind the wheel the next day.
Best wishes Bill. Hope you're among those who drive back home from the surgery.
Kiss,
Gacela
Thank You, everyone. I was in the operating room a total of 35 minutes, then back into recovery. Total time at the hospital was 5.5 hours. I have a cup over my eye now, but that comes off in another hour. Expect some blurry vision for perhaps two days, then back to normal. Right eye in two weeks.
Bill
Roughly 12 hours after operation, my eye is still dialated a little, but I can see almost clearly enough to read without my glasses.
Bill
Absolutely. Had an appointment with my eye doc this morning. Before, I was able to read only the top letter of his eye chart. This time, even with the slight fuzziness of dilation, I read the fourth line down (one up from the bottom). The 'yellowness' tint to everything is gone from the right eye. he says that was the cataract causing it. The light snow on the ground was blazingly white instead of slightly tarnished 'eggshell white'. Wonderful. Can't wait for the right eye now.
Bill
So good to hear all is going so well, Bill. Also encouraging for me who sooner or later has to have the same procedure done.
Christine
It was absolutely painless for me, Christine. I was awake during the surgery. The entire process took 35 minutes. The preparation and post-op processes took longer than the surgery. What an amazing difference to my vision.
Bill
Good going, Bill! Reminds me of a song: I can see clearly now...
Thank you so much, JP. Great song by Johnny Nash. I found it on YouTube and downloaded it. Hugely popular during my last tour in Vietnam (well, Thailand, actually, but it was still the war zone.)
