Topic: Thank you, TNBW!

Today I am struggling horribly!  I had fully intended to write. Had fully intended to smoke only 5 precious cigarettes. But I am trapped in the fire station (EMS job) with a stark raving lunatic for a partner, and am, indeed, slowly being driven mad. (Yes, it helps me so much just to write this!) This woman has been talking nonstop for four hours and has the most incredibly bad of interjecting replies for me when I fail to do so.  Which is often. Usually I have a big heart and a listening ear, but right now I can't decide whether to chain smoke or sob. Soooooo, here I am! I am clinging to everyone else's writing like a life raft, and even managing to do a few reviews. If they are substandard, please forgive me! I'll be back on my game in a day or two! If I haven't checked in somewhere for a lobotomy . . . Thanks so much for being here, TNBW people!!

Hi C.E., Sorry you have to put up with such nuisance. Hope this shall pass. Maybe take up boxing or something like that to have an outlet for your frustrations. I admire you for sharing what you're going through.

Whew, it's all better now! 5:30 came and I was still alive! Probably traumatized for life, but other than that, okay! I hope to never, ever have a day like this again.

When that happens, try twiddling your thumbs.  Change speeds, reverse directions, make it look like you're working on the Schrodinger Wave Equation.

Best way to deal with those people is just start talking to yourself as soon as they're in earshot and don't let up. Take care. Vern

Start picking off imaginary spiders from her, then, when she asks, tell her what you're doing.  Or whip out a switchblade and start cleaning your nails. Works for me. lol
