Re: Site Bugs
Minor nit: in the Settings / email page, you spell 'below' as 'bellow'. I suggest also that the 'email' menu item and page be titled 'email notifications'.

I have short story, a novella, really, that has two chapters "Birth of an Angel," In the description it is listed as a NOVEL, I can't find a way to change it to a SHORT STORY. How can I do this? Sol, I actually looked in the HELP GUIDE first--just so you know.
Thanks,

As of this moment of posting, posts 23 through 25 show as "Today" and the subesquent posts 26 through 28 show as "Yesterday". I think there's a little mixup in your horology routines.
Extended characters: The new software seems to take exception to valid characters outside the USASCII range. I've been using Greek letters as placeholders and they are being turned into question marks. For me this is a ruddy nuisance, but for people writing science fiction or anything technical, it could be a lot worse. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Zeta, Sigma, Kappa, Epsilon and the rest all have valid codepoints, upper and lower case, in the Basic Multilingual Plane.
-Edit-: Your mobile interface puts the editing window up in HTML, in a 2.6 line by 30 char window. The character in question is shown as a question mark in the HTML.
I note that you now allow the smartphone user to request and get the regular interface. Thank you.
Yester-today problem seems fixed. Thanks
My Home page shows 1 in-line review reply. When I go to view it I see the message, "In-line review posted on removed content." A garbage can appears to the right and when I clicked it, I get a request to verify, and when I do, a screen appears with an error message "The website cannot display the page."
I just wrote a fairly detailed review. The attempt to submit was interrupted by a connection failure. When I went back from the IE error page to the review page, none of my contents were restored.
This isn't a bug in the site, exactly, but it would be a very nice thing if the contents could be saved until the update's completion was validated.
I will wait about half an hour and rewrite the review. It was fairly detailed and plot-analytical, so this loss may cost both me and the author.
-Edit-: I just tried to re-enter it and ran into a glitch. Something, perhaps a stray keystroke, caused an otherwise empty review to be entered as I was trying to edit the title. Is that title a single-line field in which an <ENTER> will cause the entire form to be submitted? If this is as is to be, could we have a confirm on the entry of a review with an empty body?
-Edit-: Just to be persnickety, "Your comment was successfully submitted! You got 1.34 points!" reminds me of those hours, years ago, playing Rogue on an RS-232 terminal: "You found a cinnabar staff!" It makes me wonder if success in the venture is cause for surprise. I hope not, but today's review saga might make me wonder.
It would be nice to have a "show my posts" like the old site since it is rather time consuming to find a specific post if you don't remember which group it was in and which thread.
Also, I've tried several times (to include different days) to get on the old site so I can delete everything from that site. I get to the login but it won't accept my name and password to let me get into my account. I haven't changed it; same as on here. Just wondering if the site is already down for the count.
Hopefully, I'll be able to find this post again to see the response, lol. Thanks. Take care. Vern

Edited to add: Hello, Sol, I'm just bumping this up and including your name since I'm thinking it might ring some type alert with your name in it; I say that because you've answered other posts since this one went up without your name specifically mentioned. Just playing the odds.

Hi Vern,
We'll add that to the list. Thanks,
Sol

Ok. Looking into it.
I have a poem "Drought" which I originally published in Free Verse Poets group and the TNBW Free group. Today I revised the Publish Setup to also publish the poem on the Premium group. This was successful. But now the Poem appears twice in my Portfolio. Is this a bug? Seems to me it is.
This does sound like a bug. So, you didn't actually enter the poem twice but instead simply added the Premium group? If that's the case, you shouldn't have two versions of the poem. I'll try testing this a bit more.
I notice that when I have read a group's new articles on my computer and later go to my Android those same articles show as new again. It seems that the last-read status is associated with (stored in?) the device or browser (in cookies?) rather than with my account in TNBW's servers. Not a bug, exactly, but a feature weakness, especially for mobile users, who are more likely than others to also use other devices.
Your shaded background in the entry form still causes me eyestrain.
This has happened to me twice now---I publish a new chapter of my novel Sister Margaret's One Big Lie and it doesn't ever show up on the list as new content to review. Ugh!
Never mind --it showed up about 15 minutes later. It didn't the first time however.
Found another possible bug Sol. In my points history page it says I should have 6.5 (which I accumulated through reviews I posted last night). Now, on my main page it says I only have 2.95. Any idea where my missing points went?

It can sometimes take 15 minutes for something to appear on the homepage. If you check the Read - Groups page that shows the content much faster. It will show up there first, so you can check there, and then after a few minutes it will appear on the homepage.

We're still tweaking this. The homepage sometimes doesn't update right away. This is the reason. The points history page is the accurate reading.

I did that before coming here to leave a bug message. It hadn't shown up on that list either.
Does anyone else have problems posting from IE? For some reason when I put a chapter on to add the "publish" and "preview" buttons don't work. I select them and nothing. I've refreshed but no luck. I've posted chapters from my Surface but it doesn't copy nicely from the clipboard. On my computer it copies nicely but now won't post.
Day before yesterday I lost connection for a moment, page blinked several times and all of my connections disconnected. I assumed this would be corrected, but as of now they are still disconnected/.

My home page (mobile) is almost two weeks behind the points page, a 23-point discrepency.

Yes, we are working on this.

I can't seem to add a chapter to my latest novel. I hit the 'Save and Publish" and have even tried the "Save and Preview" and nothing happens.
Um, help?

Judy, drop me a message and let me know what's happening. Maybe I can help you sooner than Sol might see this.
