Hmmm...how to explain all the fabulousness that is me? Just kidding, I am not that arrogant or narcisstic. The best way to get to know me is to let you know about my job. Being a mother is the most important job in the world (in my biased opinion), and I love my three beasties. As a mom, I often put my dreams aside as I want my kids to pursue their hopes and goals.
Yet I have been finding the time lately to put pen to paper; or in this case my fingers to the computer keyboard. I am about 20% done with a book that I feel quite passionate about. It may not seem like a high percentage to all of you lovely writers, but to be about 20k words in...I am quite proud of myself.
Why am I here? Truth be told, I want other peoples opinions, corrections, and constructive criticism so that I can grow as a writer. Someday--hopefully soon--I dream of being a published author and sharing my made up worlds with readers.
Right now I am obsessed with young adult/teen fiction as I believe it is important to inspire imagination in the next generation. Some authors may poo-poo the genre but I would love for teenaged readers to find my work and let them escape to a fantasy world.
