I've been writing for years, but my teaching career sucked up whatever spare time I was able to carve out for myself. Now I have more time than I know what to do with and writing has become something I'd like to pursue more seriously. I am writing a memoir about my childhood cancer and I am learning how to write more succinct short stories. I look forward to networking with other writers and using their comments/advice/criticism to become a better writer.
