Serenity, Reality
When night rolls in on velvet wings
Animals of the night begin to sing
The moon shines bright with serenity
Washing away all thoughts of the day’s reality
A warm east wind blows
Where it traveled from, I do not know
Hours later, the dawn slowly breaks
Bringing with it another day’s mistakes
Throughout the day I watch the clock
Knowing that dusk is not far off
Dusk is the time I use to contemplate
What is now and what awaits
When the sun fade out of sight
The moon creates its own serene light
Finally, the night rolls in on velvet wings
Once again the cycle begins

I love how the night is described and how true for some people who begins thinking about their mistakes in life. As if they can't escape their mistakes for whatever reason. This peom makes me think in a good way.
