When you made your first posting of the item, you should have chosen "book". That way, any additional postings would be made into a chapter. You can go back to the first post and change the publishing information to reflect "book", then begin adding other posts as chapters and deactivating those posts as you go. I am not sure if you will have to use points to do so though.

Howdy, Bill:
Thanks. The problem is that that's exactly what I did. My portfolio consists of 7 chapters, and they're all listed as 'Book', after having made that choice. Oh, well. Maybe it's a browser problem. I mostly use Opera or Edge. Will try in Firefox. Thanks again.
Ray
I followed the goddamned instructions, Temple. Go play somewhere else.
When you first start your book and post a chapter, the next time you add a chapter to that book, you go to that same book and select "Add Chapter" by clicking on that option (highlighted in blue) and then you post the chapter which will be the number you choose for that chapter in the basic info section. Take care. Vern
Howdy, Vern!

That is me though the lady actually helped save the Empire State Building from the 9-11 attack -- a contest entry at the time. Hope the solution works. Take care. Vern
PS: There was also a suicide attempt mentioned.

Howdy, Linda!
Thanks. You are most kind.
I saw you've been here a long time, and I wonder if in the past (before 2010) we crossed paths. I've only been back 2 months, as I have a manuscript with a rather complicated plot I'd like to expose to daylight. Lots of drive-by reviews nowadays, it seems to me.
Kind regards,
Ray

Ray, at the top of the right-hand side of the home page, you'll see your name with a drop-down tab on it.
1) Click that tab.
2) Click Portfolio. You will then have a list of everything you've posted.
3) To the left of the last chapter you posted, click the drop-down arrow that says Action.
4) Click the Add Chapter option. Then fill in the blanks with chapter name, etc. There is a place for Content, to which you paste the content. Once you finish at the bottom, hit Save, then hit Post. You will receive a message telling you how many points it takes to post your chapter. Click to post.
Copy and print this post for reference as you go along. Hopefully, this helps.

Let's make it simple here. You don't need a gazillion steps. You know how to get to any book you've already started and posted. Simply go to the book any way you wish whether from the front page, your portfolio or whatever, and click on edit. On the edit page click on "Content" in big letters across the top. When you do that it will take you to a page which will show "Add Chapter" in a big block outlined in blue. Just click that big blue block and proceed as indicated. That's it in a nutshell. Take care.
