Re: Writing Naked

Your link doesn't work, but, hey, I watch her write through the window all the time. Take care. Vern

The link does works, even though you can't click it. Please copy and paste it in your browser.

Special thanks to Ann for supporting so many new writers publishing these interviews in her blog!

Re: Writing Naked

BTW, Ann, I haven't realised you're the author of Strong Verbs, Strong Voice. I purchased that book time ago when I started writing seriously and it was sooo very helpful! Kudos.

Re: Writing Naked

Thank you! I did that on a whim. When I first started speaking at conferences and workshops, I used to hand out the list of verbs for "said" and attendees just thought that was the greatest thing ever, so I decided to write the book. Believe it or not, it sells copies every single day! (It's a big seller in India) It stayed on the Amazon's best seller list for 8 months without any promotion.  I was shocked. Still am at well it does.
I'm so glad it has helped you. That makes my day!!

Uhh, MR, if you can't click on it, it doesn't work, lol. no matter how correct it might seem. Yours here works since you can click on it, but Ann's doesn't.  Now, she could copy yours using Ctrl C and then paste it into her message using Ctrl V and it would/should work. At any rate, nice interview and congrats on being the first to answer the "naked" question. Take care. Vern

Re: Writing Naked

Terrific interview! Loved both the questions and the answers. Gacela, I didn't realize you were still such a jet setter. All that airplane / people-watching time must give you some amazing material!

Ann's link worked just the way she said it would. Highlight it, click, a menu drops down, select open link or open link in different tab. Easy peasy.

Not so easy peasy. The "link" does not work as a link. You click on a "link" and it takes you to that site. That is not the case on Ann's "link" but it is the case on the one supplied by MR just as stated. Take care. Vern

I also have that book and it is great and so very helpful....

Re: Writing Naked

I found it, will read it all later, when my full internet is restored.  I write naked too; it helps me relate to my character.  Besides, clothes are a bother.

Oh, it's amazing the many different types of people that get on airplanes or wander airports! I love observing them and getting material. Some time, I stare at somebody and start thinking of their backstory from the way they dress, their expressions, etc.

BTW, your "jet setter" comment made me laugh. I do travel a lot, but I wish I belong to the infamous jet set, despite its "infamousity".

Gacela.
