Topic: Saying hi!

Hello everyone! Just joined and stopped in to say hello and to post that I have uploaded the first chapter of my novel, The Summer of Pear Apples, for review. Thanks in advance for any critiques, and I will be happy to continue critiquing yours as well. Cheers, Linda

Re: Saying hi!

Hi Violinda.  I look forward to reviewing your book.  Welcome to the site.

Re: Saying hi!

Welcome!

Please tell us a little about yourself; in which genre do you prefer to write? Where do you live? How long have you been writing?

I have a challenge for you, and it won't be easy: in one sentence, tell us the driving plot, the "idea" behind The Summer of Pear Apples.

Re: Saying hi!

I write mainly literary/women's. I live in Denver area but originally from the Midwest, so I usually use those as my geography depending on what I need. Thanks for the welcome!

I've been writing most of my life, have MA in English and Creative Writing. Used it in marketing communications for years but now I have time to actually finish the book I started a few years ago. Currently working as executive director of a nonprofit music school.

One line  driving point: PJ Brothers must withstand the forces of a judgmental town and a deadly river current to save herself from her own spiral of self-destruction.
