I am extremely disappointed in the new site. I returned, because of content I need to save on my hard drive. God, the changes are terrible, and constrictive. I don't think Ill be using the site, too bad, I loved the old one.

Do you have any specific changes in mind you don't like? I went from the old site to this one as a beta-tester. I loved the changes.

The group feature places constrictions. I want to freely post on a broad scale, without joining any specific group. This to me, is a case of "The new Coke, verses the Classic."

If you are logging in using your old credential, you should be able to see your old posts. Mine were carried over from the old site just fine. If not, then send a quick email to Sol and see if he can help.

Hey Dan,
I feel your pain. Took me ages to stop comparing this one to the old site. This one is clunky as hell, hard to navigate, not at all intuitive or ergonomic, ridiculously isolating...but it does have some wonderfully powerful tools. It takes time to adjust, but now that I have, the only thing I'm seriously missing is the community--warts and all.

I'm returning (using Window 10, eeek!) after many months of being cast adrift in a tempest. Dan, we need you. Go with the flow. I liked the old site too, but in analogy... make room for Hillary, as Bill is a wonderful force of the past that we all grooved with. Adapting to change will grow more brain cells, make you into more of a genius than you already are!

Took me a while to make the adjustment. It doesn't quite have the community, but whose fault is that? I find the quality of the reviews is superior, and I cherish the small but growing klatch of writing buddies I'm accumulating.

Dan, you're not giving the new site an opportunity--you're only being reactive. There are tonnes of new features improving the quality of the reviewing process, which is the reason why all of us are here. The new site is now over a year old. If you're discovering its new look just now, it means you weren't particularly assiduous to the old one,despite liking it more than this one.
Give the site a try. It's worth it.
