After losing my son to suicide while I was thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail I donned a sign that said, LOVE LIFE" and I walked across the U.S. This adventure aided in not only the healing of my heart, but also the hearts of others. The double healings felt so wonderful that I walked again with my sign; This time I walked around the U.S. I covered 9,752 miles, it took two years,two weeks and two days. I have now walked a total of 17,000 miles, walked in 44 states and passed through over 1400 cities, towns, and villages. The wonderful things that have happened to me are as incredible as the fantastic and interesting individuals I have encountered! Probably the greatest thing I learned was the importance of solitude! I am in the process of writng of my experiences and I have written numerous poems.
