Samantha Davis grew up in Brockport, New York, surrounded by library books and a loving family. She graduated from Daemen College in Buffalo, NY in 2010, with a B.S. in Biology, and minors in Chemistry, Religion, and Philosophy. She is now pursuing her Ph.D. at Wright State University in Dayton, OH, studying the effects of climate change and exotic species invasion on a rare butterfly. When she is not doing science, she enjoys writing, playing soccer, singing, and playing with her horde of animals (3 dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon, to date).
