After spending 30 years in the mortgage business, I decided to try to make a living doing what I love the best: writing fiction and essays. I have just completed my novel and have sold articles, essays and seo articles online and in local newspapers and magazines. I am a member of the National League of American Penwomen and the Space Coast Writers Guild. I depend on my fellow writers, particularly those who have been published and are making a living at it, to give me feedback and advice regarding my work. I also love to hear ideas about how to get an agent's attention and even who offers the best self-publishing service. This site interests me because of the networking possibilities and also, it motivates me to become a better and more disciplined writer. My reviews may seem unkind or unseemly in some instances but it may be because I am not familar with the type of work written or my misunderstanding of the genre. I can only say what I feel and if it isn't to your liking, please don't take it too personally...it is not as if I have a hundred books published, so who am I to criticize too precisely? However, with that said, I will review the works that interest me and probably let others review the ones that don't. I realize that not everyone is into my type of writing, which is often first person with female protagonists. So I would not expect everyone to like it. And I am a big girl, quite resiliant, so I can take criticism well. My second novel, Stella's Choice, is being posted for review and I welcome any and all suggestions. I am not an editor, and I often make editing mistakes, so this is an area where I would welcome comments and help. Thanks!
