I have written nonfiction books as a professor, but for the first time, I'm trying my hand at fiction. My ideas for fiction books are based on my area of expertise, which is violence within interpersonal relationships. My hope is that my fiction work can have a larger reach than my nonfiction, but it's difficult to find the time to write my novel when I have so many other writing responsibilities. In my free time, I enjoy reading, fitness and outdoor activities, volunteering, and spending time with friends.
