I'm a professional writer/editor for a major Internet portal, and I've written a couple novels for NaNoWriMo. I have several more novels and graphic novels in progress, and I'm learning more about the publishing world while I consider trying to do something with my work. As a reader, I enjoy mainstream escapism (mysteries, horror, thrillers), unpretentious literary fiction, and well-written, engaging nonfiction. I have no patience for writers who don't know how to use spellcheck, haven't mastered basic grammar (there/they're/their, you're/your, except/accept, etc), or clearly haven't bothered to proofread their work before posting it. I want to hear what you have to say, not trip over sloppy grammar and glaring typos. I may sound like a grump (what editor doesn't?) but I really want to help writers improve their work
