My first novel, DOUBLE OUT AND BACK will be published by Red Rose Publishing. My short story, Lessons from a Squirrel is forthcoming in the Pisgah Review. I am the winner of an honorable mention in the John Gardner Award for Best Character Description. Prior to pursuing the literary dream of novel writing, I practiced law for 11 years, drafting legal briefs and memoranda. Now, I am a recovering attorney/novelist. Picture me with my faithful clumber spaniel, Bosco snoring at my feet, while I stare at the screen of my laptop computer. Currently, I am perpetually almost finished with my second novel, Sanaz's story. I have also participated in writers’ workshops and retreats, including studying with Julia Glass at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts, and with Michael Neff of Algonkian Workshops.
