I have been writing ever since I was a little girl. I have been told all of my life that I should be a writer but as you all know, life takes us in many different directions and we forget or don't pursue those things that we love. However, I have been ensnared over the last several years to write, complete and publish at least one novel in my lifetime. I am currently working on the first novel in a trilogy and the series is very near and dear to my heart. Going on three years, I am almost finished with the first novel and will start work on the revisions and then publishing. I am here to gather all the information I can, to find out about writer's groups in the area, to get publishing tips, to chat with editors (if they lurk here) about what they would like to see upon subscription of a manuscript, you know - do's and don'ts of the trade. I would like to pick everyone's brains on finding agents, what to look for, etc. Basically I want to learn everything I can about the industry and the honest truth as to what I have to look forward to in publishing my novels. I am very proud of what I have accomplished and while I would like to be the next great novelist, I have to keep at least one foot on the ground while reaching for the stars. I'm looking forward to talking to anyone and everyone and wish all of you the best in your writing endeavors.
