Profile Information

Jack Dawkins' works of urban poetry have only recently appeared in the literary journal, enormous rooms (www.enormousrooms.com). He once read five pieces at The Urban Lounge (www.myspace.com/theurbanlounge), and spent several semesters as a journalist for The Daily Utah Chronicle (www.thedailyutahchronicle.com), covering student government, modern dance, ballet, drama, structural art, concert performances, et al. In 2006 he served as co-editor of the Hinckley Journal of Politics (www.hinckley.utah.edu/publications/journal/index.html), also briefly for the Utah Museum of Fine Arts’ newsletter, Quarterly (http://www.umfa.utah.edu/). His interests are wide, as his writing projects reflect. Mr. Dawkins is currently working to publish a children’s book, a 100-bottle wine journal, a semi-autobiographical novel entitled 'The Spirit of Taylor McFarlan', another semi-autobiographical novel entitled, 'Legends of the SBHC', a small collection of his own poetry (hopefully illustrated by graffiti artist Zak Elstein), and co-authoring a satirical screenplay with Keith Keranen. He resides in Las Vegas, “one of the more focused microcosms of human abnormality.
