Because I have finished my first book, I can accurately describe myself as a novelist. My status, however, is currently stuck at "amateur" as I have neither agent nor publisher so far. This novel is a supernatural thriller about a struggling private detective, his giant of a best friend and sidekick, a malevolent interloper from another dimension, and a little boy who is the key-- literally-- to everything. I am also working on my next project, a non-supernatural thriller. If you imagine a book by James Patterson and one by Elmore Leonard picked each other up at a bar and one of them ended up pregnant, their child might look light this story. I have been published as a non-partisan political columnist in several Florida newspapers. My columns are satirical, like the writing of Twain and Vonnegut, but without the burden of quality that haunted those two men. I am a native Floridian, a married father of 4+2, a college sports fan, and have been adopted by my wife's ex-husband's cat.
