Grew up on the West side of Chicago where I spent the first 28 years of my life. I was raised by my grandmother and father (mom died when I was 5) and lived with my older sister Dana. I have been writing since I learned how. I think I was 7 when I wrote my first story. Over the years I've mostly written poems, but as I moved into adulthood I found my ideas expanding far beyond the lines of a poem. I searched for a new way of getting my ideas out and I've found them in the form of short stories and novels.
