I am an Australian citizen who grew up in England. I write poems on varied subjects, generally in lighter vein, tending to ironical humour. I am very interested in furthering my understanding of modern poetry, which in some forms escapes me. I very much enjoyed Billy Collins poems in "Taking Off Emily Dickinson's Clothes". Writing has been my passion for most of my life. At one time I wrote short stories now I concentrate on poems. I have self published 2 life story books, one a biography of my husband's life and the other a dual autobiography of myself and a friend. I have attended a number of writing courses covering various aspects of writing. I am limited in my mobility these days and so thought this would provide a great opportunity to share work with others from home.
