I'm Amanda and I am a freelance copy editor and proofreader. Well I'd like to be. So I've joined this community to reach out to writers who would like their work edited and proofread so that I can get some practice and to add projects to my portfolio of work. Qualifications: I have a BA in English Education and my Teaching Certificate. I took courses in Creative writing and minored in French for fun. I have proofread and edited my husband's published graphic novels North World (Volumes 1, 2, and 3). However, he is my husband so my work was done non-professionally. I have written some in my time - mostly poetry. My passions have shifted, however, since I became a mom. I hope to eventually make a living from freelance copy editing, but for now will do it gratis to get the experience. I would love to copy edit whole manuscripts so that I can practice creating style sheets, submitting author queries, and generally hone my skills.
