Born Jewish in Nazi Germany, grew up in San Francisco, studied at Reed, went around the world, foreign-language teacher, used to write poetry (self-published a book of love poems), now write novels based on the cruises I take with my husband about once a year, each with a romance, but not strictly of that genre.
