After several years of screwing around and making lame excuses for not writing, I am poking my head out from my cave. Back when Yahoo Contributor and Open Salon were still around, along with other dinosaur sites, I wrote on the daily. Nothing profound, a few articles, short stories, and personal essays that would perhaps qualify as creative nonfiction today. Bringing a smile or a laugh to someone's day motivates me to write. As for being published, I decided a long time ago to save myself the misery of being rejected and added to the slush pile at a traditional publishing house. Not that I would turn down the opportunity to go that route if offered, I just prefer to self publish and get my work out there before I'm old and drooling in the petunias.
The pieces in my portfolio are older and in need of polishing. I considered deleting them, but what the hell. We all had a starting point.
New writer friends rock, so feel free to say hello. I look forward to hearing from you. Be well and always write.
