Erick Deshon Burgess has been writing mysteries for the past ten years. Born and raised in the small town of Denham Springs, Louisiana, he earned a football scholarship to Northwestern State University where he blew out his knee after his first practice and effectively ended his football career. He then transferred to Southeastern Louisiana University to finish his education. He worked as a Support Manager at Wal-mart as he completed his degree in psychology. While working there, he got the idea for and began writing his first book, Under Abnormal Conditions.
