Alice Lily deemed herself a writer when she was 9 years old and documenting the tragedies at home. It was an explosive household where mother and father did not get along and little toys were not the only thing left broken on the ground. Alice found inspiration in big brother, who acted as a shield. She found peace in the sea and the mountains, which always seemed so very quiet. She found solace in music and they became fast friends, inseparable to this day. Alice felt safe in the worlds she fashioned. Her mind filtered all the violence and anger and turned them into something magical. Wild, colorful stories that often made no sense. Dark, strange, beautiful tales where she hid her soul and kept it safe.
When mother grabbed the children and fled to another country, Alice started writing in a new language. A life in hiding excited her imagination. She was with no friends, no clothes, no belongings, no home… but the music and the stories never left. Alice never stopped writing. English is a beautiful language and after many years, Alice decided to share her stories and her journey with the world. She hopes you enjoy the little whispers in her head. Should you find yourself in darkness, she hopes they feed you the light, even if only a coaxing little wisp.
