Hold on, I'm coming--still figuring out the site! I have a great love and passion for the written word.There are 2 more poems I'd like to submit, and then we'll move on to short stories, or whatever. I've been blocked up for so long, God knows what will come bubbling over and out!When I was a 10 yr old kid writing stories for school, I would be accused of having my parents write them! Then, as an adult I wrote some papers for the psychiatric nurses at Bellvue Hosp, and was accused of "looking all that stuff up" or having a doctor write them! In fact, I was alone in a room all night, pulling the information out of nowhere! What I do know, is that when it's your best completed work, you feel part of your soul went into it. I've said, "I feel as if I gave birth"! Thank you for the fantastic reviews, there is no better emotional feeling."My funny Valentine" poem is a tribute to my beloved mother, Jo, to whom I owe my love and appreciation for all things literary.She was my soulmate in the written word.I see via these bio's of my "raters", some very accomplished people, and I could use some motivational help to move forward (by the bootstraps, if necessary!)
