T.L. Cadence Profile

Writing was my first love. As a small child, I would spend hours concocting elaborate stories for my dolls to act out. I was never content dressing them up or getting a giant house for them to look pretty in. I had pretty high hopes for my doll as a character. She was an actress, a musician, photographer, and dancer with a Mensa level IQ. My views of the world these days are a bit more realistic, but I'm still a Jill of all trades by nature. I'm a writer, musician, photographer, web designer/graphic designer, and video editor. Honestly, I'd prefer to pick just one, but my life wouldn't feel complete. I have an interest in strong female characters. My heroines are flawed, and they make plenty of mistakes. They cry, lust after bad boys, sneer at themselves in the mirror, and secretly dream of that fairy tale ending. But they also take risks and use their own shortcomings to free themselves. Some of them kick butt literally and others go after their dreams despite everyone telling them they have no chance. I allow them to make mistakes along the way, because that is what breeds inspiration. There is no art without passion. I firmly believe that if I don't love my characters, nobody else will.
