I've always loved writing. After university I became a journalist with Fairfax (The Age) but realised it wasn't the writing I wanted to do. I've spent much of my subsequent adult life living, travelling and working in various parts of Asia including Calcutta, Taipei, Jakarta, New Delhi and currently Ho Chi Minh city. I like to draw upon these disparate experiences but house them within what I hopevare reasonably fast paced and gritty narratives. My first novel, The Hotel Travel is a 'Travel Novel' which is basically a set of short travelers stories linked by strange characters and an overriding narrative as to the proragonist's fall from grace. Its provocative and evocative ande even fun and hopefully it'll make you think a bit. [Please check out my showcase on www. thehoteltravel.com] My second novel is a hollywood pulp fiction called LA911 [www.la911.org]. I think people will find it is surprsing as I mix stock scenes such as a a prison fight, a party in the Malibu canyons, a car chase and so on with philosophical asides and twisted, funny conversations. It is set in the three days before and the morning of the 911 terrorist attacks. I have combined with two professional photographers for my respective web showcases and designed, edited and wrote the contents of the sites with technical help and creative input from a couple of friends.
