Rose Mandan Profile

Originally from Mandan, North Dakota, I was offered a position in radio in Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved there in 1986. I live there now with two cats and work as an administrative assistant in the metro area. Through the years I have always written poetry, short stories and personal greeting cards for fun. I think that the journey my life has taken me on has helped me to shape characters in my writing that are versatile and flexible. They are ordinary people caught up in extraordinary circumstances and find it within themselves to do what needs to be done with little fanfare or, most of the time, any back up. When I’m not writing, I enjoy sewing, sketching and watercolor painting. New story ideas come to me almost daily…and my only problem is focussing on one at a time!
