Profile Information

Born in the Year of the Cat, with an insatiable feline propensity to roam. Wanderlust has been both a blessing and a curse throughout my life. I've lived in no less than EIGHT different countries (nine if you count 3 months working at a BSA summer camp in 1970). My theme song? "The Leaving of Liverpool", which I did in 1972, returning in 1992 to look after my elderly father (whose health nowadays is probably better than my own!) Currently working on a sries of Childrens' stories (a fairly inept crew of Pirates based in Liverpool c. 1900) and a TRILOGY of books set in Ireland, based on some fascinating details discovered when I was researching my family history. Also completed: a number of novels (incl. thriller & political satire) and several short plys with a strong Liverpool these and a Rock Musical, if anyone's interested - have written original music & lyrics for this, too! One play 'made it' at the Edinburgh Festival in 2006, and I have written a number of short plays using the same 2 central characters, the iconic and world-famous Liver Birds (the REAL ones, not the girls from the 70s TV series!) Currently dividing my time between completing about 8 different Works in Progress - if ever I run into the dreaded "Writer's Block" I put THAT work aside for a while and work on something else ... works every time!!
