D.W. Rhodes draws on a wide range of personal experiences to support his writing. He has traveled throughout the world in 29 foreign countries on 5 continents, and can't seem to sit still for more than a season. He has no fixed genre or style. His eclectic collection of novels include--Blondie and the Beasty-girl, a sexy, fast-paced comedic drama--Lifelight, an epic science fiction adventure written the way sci-fi used to be--Sugar Cove, a part historical drama, part adventure saga, and part coming-of-age tale, set in the year 1736--and Live Long Stay Young, The Modern Christians Guide to Practical Immortality, a self-help book designed to keep you alive longer than you ever thought possible. He is a bit of a wild man, and as his granddaughters are fond of reminding him, "Papa, you are so immature." Which is a statement he takes as a compliment, and a persona he works rather diligently to maintain, oftentimes to the chagrin of his more mature family members and friends. He lives on a 600 acre farm in south-central Tennessee, a mile from the Alabama line, 7 miles from the nearest town, and a quarter-mile from his nearest neighbor. The peaceful seclusion of his private paradise affords him the quiet freedom to pursue his writing career, and a safe cozy home from which to return after his adventures abroad.
