My name is Morgan I am 54 years old and live in a small town in Illinois. I have been writing most of my life beginning at the age of eight when I wrote my first poem. I enjoy writing all manner of genre including murder mysteries, true life stories from my own experiences, and books geared toward juveniles. I have had some luck with publishing in small venues but have not as yet had a book published. I am a claims examiner for a large insurance company where I hearned the computer skills I have needed to write effectively. I am a motivational speaker speaking to women about the damages caused by childhood abuse and the fact that there is hope and a future for them. I enjoy working as secretary at my church and am in the process of organizing a domestic violence shelter with community support. Being a published writer has been a life long dream, one I hope to achieve through this competition.
