I have "written" stories in my head for as long as I can remember. When I was young, I would escape my parents' constant arguing by slipping into my own world and creating characters, plotlines, conflicts, etc. Sometimes one story would continue for months before I felt it was finished. I'm currently working on a novel that is, for me, an exercise in experimentation with the writing process. I'm enjoying the journey. I've been teaching composition and literature for many years, but that doesn't mean you won't find careless errors. My main concern, though, is the narrative.
