Profile Information

Lisa has been writing most of her life. In her late teens she finished a novella entitled Sympathy Rain, which placed in a Texas Writer's Competition sponsored by The Byliners. Many of her short stories and poems have been published online or in print in publications such as Boca Chica, The Voyaguer, Good Old Days, Muscadine Lines, T Zero Xpandizine, and The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature. She has placed in writing contests online and in print literary magazines. Lisa's writing has distinctly southern roots. She spent much of her childhood in Louisiana around a family of storytellers. She finds their phrasing and timing a form of art. Sympathy Rain became retitled as a novel. Lisa has finished her second novel, A Chest of Drawers, which she is posting on this site. She is at work on her third novel.
