Profile Information

I was raised on the eighty acre Anderson Family Farm in the agricultural community of Blythe, California. After finishing high school, where I acquired a love for reading, I enlisted in the United States Navy. I was honorably discharged from The Navy due to injuries received in the jungles of The Philippine islands. Upon my return to The States, I traveled around the country for several years before returning once more to the family farm in Blythe Ca. Sadly, the day of the family farm is over. You can’t even afford to own the equipment necessary to operate a farm with so few acres of land to work so I took a job as a Partsman for a local agricultural dealer during the day and I nurtured my proclivity towards fantasy writing at night as a way to unwind after a hard days work. Two of my short stories have been published by The Crossquarter Publishing Group. Moonlight was featured in The 2001 CrossTIME Science Fiction Anthology. My second short titled Cetacea made it into the 2002 edition of The CrossTIME Anthology. I still reside The Palo Verde Valley along with my wife Kathy, our 12 year old son Riley and a honey dipped lab named Xena...and my pen name is L.J. Anderson. Got a bad key on my board
