My creative self was smothered by years of medical study, work and parenting. I am trying to resuscitate my latent creative voice. It is a source of great happiness and satisfaction for me. My hope is that I can find a living place for some of my patient's stories - their amazing challenges, victories and defeats. I would also like to use fiction as a public health tool promoting advocacy of women's and children's issues. As a Latina transplanted from NYC to Boston, I expect my writing to reflect my inner city Latina roots.
