Catherine Dougherty, a native of New Hampshire, lives with her husband in the beautiful Lakes Region area, near Lake Winnipesaukee. Her debut novel, in Polyester Pajamas, released in 2012, was awarded the New Hampshire Writers' Project 2013/2014 Readers' Choice Award for Outstanding Fiction and was chosen as a Chick Lit/Women's Fiction finalist in the 2014 USA Best Book Awards.
Her second novel, in Woolen Bikinis, is a sequel to in Polyester Pajamas and was released in June 2013. The third book in the series, in Leather Chaps, is due to be released in early 2015.
Catherine has also published several essays and poems, is a featured author in the 2012-2013 publication 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading presented by TheAuthorsShow.com, and is one of the contributing authors to The Lonely Wish-Giver: A GrammoWriMo Novel published in 2014. She is a member of the New Hampshire Writers' Project.
