Profile Information

Antoinette Clark-Sarcinella’s heritage of mixed Native American and Celtic blood has combined to give her an understanding of life from two paths. Her Native American roots come from her maternal grandfather, Hunkpapa Lakota, of the Brave Bull family, who was born at Wood Mountain Reserve in Canada in 1899. Wolf and Owl Remember is her first book. Taking her story telling lessons from her mother, an award winning news reporter in Southern California, she has reached into her own past to bring Wolf, Owl and Kumi to life. The author has worked as a child advocate for twenty five years, acting as a child abuse prevention specialist until 1992 when she began her current career with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. She now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona where she is a Vice President for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Scottsdale. She travels throughout the United States providing training and technical assistance to many of the Boys & Girls Clubs located in Indian Country. Two of her sons also work with Native youth populations; one is a law school student focusing on Federal Indian Law at Arizona State University, who has worked with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale Red Mountain Branch on the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community and another has worked as an environmental education teacher also teaching Native American culture and history. He too works on the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community in Arizona. Her third son is an attorney in Washington, D.C. Her only daughter works as a Marketing Executive in Pennsylvania.
